Why write children's books?

My grandsons refered to Covid-19 as "The Sickness." The first time I heard them say that it almost broke my heart. Their early experience with the world is that it is so dangerous they had to wear masks.

But, there is so much beauty and love out there too. My mission is to spread that as far as I can. Coleman and Vaughn just get to be first. 

I began writing children's picture books for my two grandsons during the Covid-19 pandemic. We pick character names and brainstorm ideas together. I then write the stories and illustrate the books. I printed a few copies so the boys keep them on their bedroom shelves to read whenever they want to go on an adventure. Now I'm publishing selected titles on Amazon.
